Hitman: Codename 47 Free Download Full Version
About this Game:
There are quite a few Hitman games, and some of them are real stinkers. Hitman: Codename 47 is one of the better versions because the developers added more killing methods, they improved the guard’s intelligence, they reward stealth over murder, and they made the game harder. Hitman: Codename 47 is one of the first Hitman games to offer a harsh and merciless gameplay experience. The frustrating difficulty of the game is what makes it great, which is why the developers continued the trend in later sequels. Find a way to reach your target without being discovered, take out your target, and leave without the guards being alerted. Take out your target in Hitman: Codename 47 with stealth and without alerting the guards and you receive more rewards at the end of the game.
To us society is normal. We walk the streets fearing no one and nothing. Yet through his ice blue eyes, Agent 47 sees a world of potential threat and danger. He watches interested, but uninvolved. Your time has come to enter the Hitman’s world. A world where you trust no-one but yourself, a player in a deadly game, a warrior on a battlefield most people don’t even know exists. This slick 3rd person action-adventure game presents a mix of stealth and combat. As the Hitman you must move without sound, kill without emotion, and disappear without trace. There are many ways to finish a mission and it is up to you to find the best, most silent one. At your disposal is an impressive arsenal of weapons and gadgets available for purchase between missions. Carry out your ‘hits’ effectively and a story of greed, power, and jealousy will start to unfold, in addition to a considerable amount of blood money.
Not many people realize, but Hitman: Codename 47 which was the first game in the series was first off, all released 20 years ago! Another thing that is kind of mind-blowing is the fact that this game was also only released on PC. While the series would eventually be as multiplatform as you can get, this initial release would only see the light of day on PC.
How Did This Barcode Get On My Head?
The lore of the Hitman universe is pretty damn awesome and would be perfect for a movie. Actually, they have made a couple of movies, but neither has managed to capture it. Oh well! The game sees you playing as Agent 47, one of the best hitmen in the world. You “work” for The Agency, but eventually, you start to question who you really are, who the agency is, and what you are. It is solid stuff and a great start to a franchise which I feel only gets better as far as its lore goes.
Taking Them Down:
A huge part of the appeal of Hitman: Codename 47 at the time of its release was actually getting to play as a hitman. The game is all about stealth and it will send you all over the world as you take out targets in your own style. For example, one level is set in a hotel and you have to take out a target and his two bodyguards. You have a few ways to go about this, but you can disguise yourself as a hotel employee to get into the room, take out the bodyguards, and then your target, all before hiding the bodies.
There is a nice variety to the missions and you have some fun weapons to use. I prefer the good old-fashioned silenced pistol, but you can assassinate people from a distance and even get up close and personal with a bit of strangling!
The Hardest Enemy:
The most difficult aspect of Hitman: Codename 47 has to be the controls. This game was released in 2000 and around this time, developers were still getting to grips with fluid controls in 3D games. You will be fighting the controls a great deal in this game and until you get the hang of them, you probably will not be having a very good time. These controls will fight you every step of the way and that is my biggest problem with the game. I remembered it being a bit rough around the edges, but in playing it again the controls are even worse than I remembered.
It is hard to be harsh on Hitman: Codename 47. This is the game that started it all and there are some great ideas here which were better realized in the games that would follow. Playing as a hitman is fun, but you really do have to spend a great deal of time getting used to the controls. Usually, when you fail, you fail because of some kind of issue with the controls. If you have played the newer Hitman games, I would recommend going back and checking this out so you can see where the series began.
