How did Crysis 2 perform:

Crysis 2 was the successful sequel to Crysis and Crysis Warhead. The only change was the transition from open-world exploration to linear gameplay. The most notable feature was the multiplayer mode, where players enjoyed competing with others online in exciting and thrilling adventures. The graphics and sprawling, devastated cityscapes looked amazing for the time thanks to the CryEngine 3 engine.

The Nanosuit was a highlight of the game in single-player, giving players a sense of power and imagination over the ruins of New York City. Players possessed special powers with the Nanosuit. At the same time, they had to manage the Nanosuit’s energy before it ran out. Players enjoyed upgrading it according to their playstyle. The game provided players with 12 different, customizable weapons for more firepower. The game revolved around an invasion of New York City and the acquisition of a new Nanosuit to repel the aliens. Players faced both the invading aliens, Sif, and the army pursuing the improved Nanosuit.

Original Beta:

Electronic Arts and Crytek GmbH released a multiplayer beta on various platforms in 2011. It was available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Players were able to experience maps like Skyline and Pier 17, as well as access two game modes: Instant Multiplayer and Crash Site. Instant Multiplayer resembles a traditional team deathmatch, while Crash Site features familiar gameplay mechanics of defending control points. Most importantly, in Crash Site, players must secure alien drop pods from enemies. There were server connectivity issues in multiplayer, but Crytek has been working to fix them. Other bugs were visual glitches, but they didn’t significantly impact gameplay.
